Information Technology Protective Services Sdn Bhd (ITPSS) hosted a study visit from students of the Indonesian Defense University (IDU) through The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Bandar Seri Begawan.
The delegates comprised a group of 28 in total consisting of officials, lecturers and students of the Asymmetric Warfare Study Program Cohort 5 and were headed by Rear Admiral Ir. Rusmali Anggawirya, M.Pd. The aim of the visit was to exchange ideas between IDU and ITPSS on “The Role and Support of ITPSS in Managing Cyber Security Issues in Brunei Darussalam”.
Shamsul Bahri Hj Kamis, CEO of ITPSS Sdn Bhd welcomed the delegation and gave an introduction to the range of IT Security services offered by ITPSS. Hj Mas Zuraime Hj Abdul Hamid, Head of Brunei Computer Emergency Response Team (BruCERT), then elaborated on the company’s roles & functions as Brunei’s national CERT including providing Managed Security Services and incident response for computer-related and internet-related security incidents in Brunei Darussalam.
Other Senior Officers from ITPSS had also shared their experience in Digital Forensics, Penetration Testing and BruCERT’s public awareness initiatives. The visit concluded with a discussion on the Brunei National Cyber Security Framework.
