IT Protective Security Services Sdn Bhd (ITPSS) in its role as Brunei Computer Emergency Response Team (BruCERT) recently collaborated with Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) to produce videos for cybersecurity public awareness. The objective behind the collaboration was to create cyber security awareness amongst young Bruneians, foster creativity and giving students an opportunity to showcase their skills.
Students of UTB’s Creative Computing Program were tasked with creating videos related to various cybersecurity and online safety issues. BruCERT then selected 3 of the videos for use in its ongoing public awareness campaign. The top videos were chosen based on creativity, quality and clarify of the message.
In first place was Abdul Mu’Ein bin Awang Yahya who produced a video on ‘Online Addiction’, followed by Farhanah binti Julaihi for ‘Always #latepost’, and Rozita binti Razalli for ‘Backup Your Data’. The winners were rewarded with cash prizes and their videos will be used in local television ads, cinema ads, and on BruCERT’s social media accounts.
