ITPSS PRESENTS DATA REGISTRY SOFTWARE APPLICATION TO YASKA
Children’s Cancer Foundation (YASKA) recently received assistance from I.T. Protective Security Services (ITPSS) to create a data registry for children with cancer. The software application was developed by the Research & Development team at ITPSS, led by Isyrah Fahmi Osman, as a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The new application was presented to Dr Hjh Norehan Hj Johari, Paediatric Oncology Consultant at RIPAS Hospital and Tsara’ Nawwarah Abdullah Chen, Vice Chairperson of YASKA. It allows YASKA to maintain a detailed data registry for each child cancer patient, including details of diagnosis and treatment data.
Hospital-based registries maintain data on patients diagnosed or treated for cancer at a particular healthcare facility. The purpose of the registry is to improve patient care at the hospital, while also focusing on administrative processes, clinical research, and professional education.
